CALDWELL TRAIN DEPOT 2009 HOURS OF OPERATION
The Friends of the Depot will open the newly restored Depot and brand new Interpretative Center to the public on the first Saturday of every month beginning in 2009 from noon to 4:00 p.m. Come see what's new at the Depot!

THE INDIAN CREEK LIGHTS IN HD
The millions of lights that decorate Indian Creek and the restored Union Pacific Depot this holiday season are presented in High Definition on the city's website. Dan Smede, Smede Marketing Productions, shot the lights in High Definition using one of latest broadcast quality HD cameras from Sony. The video was uploaded to our HD web portal, with links on the Caldwell website to view it. The video can also be downloaded for viewing in High Definition on personal computers.

"This is the first time, that I know of, where high definition video has been available on a city website in Idaho", said Smede. The video is accompanied by a musical score of "William Vaughn's Fantasia on Greensleeves". The video runs 4-and a half minutes.

"Since the video is in high definition, the download to watch it at 720x1280 pixels may take a while on slower internet connectons. However, the smaller HD version in a Flash format should start almost instantly", according to Smede. MORE »
